Wildlife Care of Southern California, based in Simi Valley, confirmed on Monday that they have successfully captured Wendy. The organization did not provide specific details about the capture’s timing or location.
The group expressed gratitude to the community on social media, stating, WCSC has been monitoring WENDY, the Studio City coyote, online since July 14, 2026, thanks to the community’s contributions of dates, times, and sightings.
They highlighted the challenges faced: On August 7, we had collected enough information to deploy teams in two specific locations, with the assistance of homeowners. Wendy’s movement within the community spans 2 1/2 miles, where she finds water and is likely fed by people, making her capture more complex and time-consuming. Additionally, we are an hour away from Studio City.
