Collin Gosselin Addresses Estranged Siblings in Memoir Release
Collin Gosselin shares heartfelt message to estranged siblings as memoir details alleged abuse from childhood.
POLICY WIRE — New York, United States — Collin Gosselin, former star of the reality series ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8,’ has shared a touching message to his six estranged siblings as he prepares to release a memoir detailing his experiences growing up in the public eye and alleged abuse.
The show, which premiered in 2007, followed the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their eight children, including Collin and his seven siblings—twins Madelyn and Cara, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah, and Joel. After the couple’s divorce in 2009, the family was renamed ‘Kate Plus 8’ under Kate’s primary custody.
In his upcoming memoir, ‘In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,’ Collin claims that Kate allegedly abused him after the split, leading to his eventual estrangement from his siblings. He has only remained in contact with his sister Hannah, though he expressed a desire to reconnect with the others. ‘No matter what’s happened or what was said, no matter how things look from the outside, I love you,’ he told ABC News. ‘I always have and always will.’
