The suspect, identified by the initials MZ, was apprehended within three hours by a joint police team, according to an official post on the Denpasar police’s social media account.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman from Central Java, had been in a relationship with the suspect for approximately one year, a police spokesperson confirmed.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of death was strangulation. The suspect is currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
