POLICY WIRE — Duesseldorf, Germany — Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva has been denied permission to compete internationally after a second round of checks in an appeals process, as her status as a neutral athlete was revoked.

The International Skating Union (ISU) stated that Valieva, along with three other Russian skaters, did not meet the requirements to participate as Individual Neutral Athletes. The ISU declined to provide specific reasons for the decision, stating it would not comment further while appeal rights remain available.
