LeBron James Stalker Arrested at Brentwood Mansion Claims to Be NBA Star’s Son
A man was arrested for felony stalking at LeBron James' Brentwood home, falsely claiming to be the NBA star's son while James played in Ohio.
POLICY WIRE — Los Angeles, USA — A man was taken into custody on felony stalking charges after being apprehended outside the Los Angeles residence of LeBron James. During the encounter, the suspect made an outlandish assertion that he is the son of the professional basketball player.
The 41-year-old former Lakers star was not at his Brentwood estate when the incident occurred on Friday. James was currently in Ohio competing with the Philadelphia 76ers, the team he joined earlier in the current calendar year.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the property following reports of a potential burglary. According to reports from TMZ, the individual was identified by James’ security team and was prevented from entering the home.
The security incident follows a recent period of public friction between James and President Donald Trump. Recently, the former president criticized James for his actions during pre-game warmups at a game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, where James appeared to be mimicking a golf swing during the national anthem.
Trump posted a video on Truth Social, claiming James disrespected the country and demanding an apology to military heroes who have fallen for the flag. James responded to the criticism following a 76ers victory over his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, by noting it was simply a slow news day at the office.
76ers head coach Nick Nurse dismissed the president’s remarks as additional outside noise currently affecting the team. Nurse emphasized that his primary focus remains on practice, film study, and maintaining the players’ intent.
The tension between the two figures dates back to 2017, when James referred to Trump as a bum after the White House rescinded an invitation to the Golden State Warriors. James previously remarked that visiting the capital was an honor until the president’s involvement.
