POLICY WIRE — Southampton, New Jersey — Two sixteen‑year‑old residents appeared before a local judge on Monday, each facing serious felony charges linked to a Halloween gathering.
The celebration on October 31 turned violent when five male attendees, aged 16 and 17, suffered stab wounds that left them in critical condition.
One teenager is accused of attempted murder, while the other faces a charge of wounding with intent, both stemming from the same incident.
Both suspects remain detained as the court evaluates whether to revoke their bonds; a separate proceeding will consider murder charges against two additional sixteen‑year‑olds in the death of Trey Wright.
