Paul Pelosi Faces Six-Month Driving Ban Following Napa Hit-and-Run Plea
Paul Pelosi pleaded no contest to misdemeanor hit-and-run charges after striking a parked vehicle in Napa, resulting in a driving restriction.
POLICY WIRE — Napa, California Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge on Tuesday. The legal resolution follows an incident earlier this summer where Pelosi’s vehicle allegedly collided with a stationary car in Yountville.
According to reports from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, Pelosi was operating a convertible when he struck an unoccupied Tesla in broad daylight. A witness reported to law enforcement that the vehicle briefly stopped after the impact before ultimately departing the scene without stopping.
As part of the sentencing, the judge imposed a six-month suspension on Pelosi’s driving privileges alongside probation. Prosecutors confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the collision that occurred in Napa.
