European Forces Launch Massive Military Rehearsal for Potential Ukraine Reconstruction Mission
Thousands of European troops from 10 nations gather in Poland for a historic military exercise preparing for a postwar mission in Ukraine.
POLICY WIRE — London, UK — Thousands of soldiers from Europe are set to converge in Poland this month for a major military drill designed to simulate a mission in a postwar Ukraine.
The exercise focuses on preparing a hypothetical multinational force tasked with revitalizing the Ukrainian economy and rebuilding its national military once the conflict ends.
London and Paris announced on Tuesday that the operation will involve approximately 2,800 personnel representing ten different European nations.
This initiative marks the first large-scale rehearsal for a newly formed international coalition intended to provide long-term support to Ukraine in a post-conflict scenario.
Despite the strategic planning underway, some security analysts have cautioned that the deployment might never actually materialize depending on the future political landscape.
The drill, referred to as Exercise Koalicja, serves as a critical test of readiness and coordination among the participating European forces.
