Arsenal Star Bukayo Saka Ruled Out of Everton Clash Following Thigh Injury
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Everton due to a thigh injury sustained during Champions League play.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of Saturday’s Premier League home fixture against Everton as he undergoes additional medical evaluations for a thigh injury.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the news on Friday, noting that the 25-year-old sustained the issue just 10 minutes into Wednesday’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich.
Regarding the player’s current status, Arteta explained that the medical team is conducting further investigations. He’s got another MRI this afternoon because he had a lot of fluid, Arteta said. We need a few more scans and opinions from the specialists.
While the club awaits a definitive timeline for his return, there are internal concerns that the injury could be a grade-two tear, which might sideline the winger for up to six weeks.
