McLaren Lists Five Iconic Formula 1 Cars for Sale, Including Brad Pitt-Tested Racer
McLaren is auctioning five historic Formula 1 cars, featuring machines driven by legends like Ayrton Senna and a vehicle tested by actor Brad Pitt.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — McLaren Racing has officially placed five fully operational Formula One cars on the market, offering collectors a rare opportunity to acquire vehicles with significant racing pedigree.
The collection spans competition history from 1991 to 2023 and features machines piloted by legendary champions, including the late Brazilian icon Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton.
Among the notable offerings are two 1991 MP4/6A models, which utilize Honda V12 engines and were raced by Gerhard Berger with additional testing conducted by Senna. The inventory also includes a 2012 McLaren MP4/27A, a car previously raced by Jenson Button and tested by Hamilton.
The sale features a unique Hollywood connection: the 2023 McLaren MCL60. This specific vehicle was driven by actor Brad Pitt during a private test session at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, in June of last year as part of his preparation for a starring role in an upcoming Formula One film.
Dealer Tom Hartley Jnr is managing the sale of these vehicles, which are being offered directly from the McLaren Racing team. The collection also includes Lando Norris’s 2023 MCL37A, marking it as the most modern vehicle currently available in the group.
