Strictly Come Dancing Unveils Movie-Themed Performances for This Weekend’s Show
Strictly Come Dancing reveals movie-inspired routines for this weekend's live show, featuring iconic film themes and celebrity performances.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — The second live episode of Strictly Come Dancing is set to feature a lineup of film-themed performances, drawing inspiration from popular movies like Zootropolis and Ratatouille.
The BBC series will kick off with a pre-recorded group number centered on the Disney animated film Zootropolis. Professional dancers will appear in animal costumes, performing to tracks from the original movie and its 2025 sequel, including Shakira’s “Try Everything” and Zoo.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse will also take part in an additional performance based on the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, set to Lady Gaga’s “Runway” and “Shape Of A Woman.” Preview footage shows Mabuse portraying Miranda Priestly, a role originally played by Meryl Streep.
Dani Dyer, the former Love Island winner, will return to the dance floor with partner Nikita Kuzmin, performing a foxtrot to the title song from Disney’s Beauty And The Beast. Dyer made her debut last weekend after missing the previous year due to an injury.
Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington will perform an American smooth to “I’ll Never Love Again” from A Star Is Born, while actress Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu will cha cha to the title track from Pretty Woman. John Nellis and Katya Jones, who topped the leaderboard last week, will present their couple’s choice to “An Irish Party In Third Class” from Titanic.

Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu will do a paso doble to “No Good Deed” from Wicked: For Good, and Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon will perform a Charleston to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins. Olympian Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita will dance an American smooth to “Rewrite The Stars” from The Greatest Showman.

Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby will samba to “We Go Together” from Grease, and Emmerdale’s Lawren Robb will Viennese waltz with Jowita Przystal to “Le Festin” from Ratatouille. Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola will perform a quickstep to “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the latest Toy Story film.
Will Best and Dianne Buswell will dance a foxtrot to “Old Time Rock And Roll” from Risky Business, and Melanie Walters and Aljaz Skorjanec will waltz to “Edelweiss” from The Sound Of Music. Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Saturday at 6:15pm.
