Navy Reservist Discovers Potential $1M Diamond During TikTok Livestream
Navy reservist finds 6.03-carat diamond worth up to $1 million during TikTok livestream at Arkansas park.
POLICY WIRE — Little Rock, United States — A Navy reservist made a stunning discovery while live-streaming his gem-hunting efforts on TikTok, unearthing a 6.03-carat diamond that experts estimate could be valued at over $1 million.
The find occurred at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas, where the stone was the largest discovered this year. Jack Pearadin, who has spent over a decade searching for gems in the area, captured the moment on camera as he and a friend dug up the rare find. The diamond, roughly the size of a fingernail, was revealed after rinsing gravel from a bucket and flipping it onto a table to expose its sparkling facets.

While Pearadin has never turned a profit from his hobby, the diamond’s potential value has sparked interest. An appraiser suggested the stone could be worth around a quarter of a million dollars, though others believe it may fetch closer to $1 million. The park, which allows visitors to keep any diamonds they find, has seen over 37,000 discoveries since 1972. Pearadin, who moved to nearby Murfreesboro to support his passion, has sold many of his previous finds online. The park is one of the few places in the world where the public can search for and take home natural diamonds.
