Temasek Expands into Middle East with New Offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi

POLICY WIRE — Singapore — Singapore state investor Temasek has announced plans to establish offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi by the first half of 2027, subject to necessary approvals. This marks a key step in its broader strategy to enhance engagement across the Middle East.
The new locations will expand Temasek’s global network to 15 offices in 11 countries by 2027. As of March 31, 2026, the company had a net portfolio value of S$518 billion (US$405.5 billion). Temasek CEO Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara emphasized the region’s significance, citing its strong economic transformation and long-term appeal.

The expansion aims to deepen Temasek’s presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, where it sees substantial opportunities for growth. Chia Song Hwee, newly appointed chairman for the Middle East and Africa, will oversee this effort, while Ankit Khemka remains managing director for the region. The move is expected to improve access to Central Asian and African markets as well.
