Fuel2U, a UK fuel delivery company, stated that its logo appeared on one of the vehicles but confirmed no connection to the firm or the individuals involved. The company expressed concern over the unauthorized use of its branding.
The incident has raised questions about potential ties to Iran, especially after then-Prime Minister Keir Starmer approved the use of U.S. bases for “specific and limited defensive” operations against Iran in March. In July, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned Britain that any facility aiding aggression against Iranian territory could be targeted, citing bomber flights from Fairford.
Evans acknowledged the speculation surrounding the case, urging patience as investigators work carefully. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump claimed credit for the arrests, stating that the suspects had planned “big damage” to a U.S. facility and that cooperation with the UK was effective. Prime Minister Andy Burnham called for restraint while authorities continue to gather facts.
