Dolly Parton’s Sister Denies Family Feud After Nephew Faces Restraining Order

POLICY WIRE — City, Country — A legal dispute has emerged within the Dolly Parton family following a restraining order issued against her nephew, Bryan Seaver, by the late country star’s estate.

The legal action was taken by She’s Alive, LLC, the entity established to safeguard Parton’s legacy after her passing. The organization filed a lawsuit on September 22, alleging that Seaver made threats to damage Parton’s reputation and targeted employees with violent intimidation.

Seaver, who previously served as Parton’s head of security, was terminated from his role just a day before the restraining order was filed. His aunt, Freida Parton, took to Instagram on September 23 to publicly deny any family conflict, stating that no one in the Parton/Owens family is fighting over the estate.

She emphasized that the family remains united and expressed support for Seaver, calling him a part of us. Seaver, the son of Larry Seaver and Dolly’s sister Cassie Parton, is accused of making threatening remarks, including claiming to be an international arms dealer and mercenary.

Despite these allegations, Seaver denied attempting to extort money from the estate, saying that his statements were taken out of context. He described himself as a military contractor and security professional, adding that he never intended to threaten anyone.

In interviews with TMZ and ABC News, Seaver called the restraining order a publicity stunt and claimed that Dolly Parton once referred to him as “her killer” in a joking manner. He also stated that he was fired after negotiating long-term service agreements with the estate, only to be dismissed over fabricated accusations.
