Kieran Kyle, 43, from Gillingham, sent three messages to Badenoch’s parliamentary email account on May 2 this year. In one of the emails, he stated, ‘when I was in the IRA I would have shot you f****** dead.’ The court was told that the messages were racially motivated and left Badenoch and her husband, Hamish, deeply distressed.

Kyle has pleaded guilty to the charges, with prosecutors stating that his communications constituted racist threats.
