POLICY WIRE — Atlanta, USA — A man was discovered deceased inside a kitchen HVAC vent at Walter’s Soul Food Cafe in southwest Atlanta on Monday morning, according to initial reports.
Workers arrived for their shift and found the body wedged through a vent located above the frying area of the restaurant. The discovery occurred shortly before 9 a.m., following a call made around 8:58 a.m. as reported by 11 Alive.

Witnesses described seeing the man’s head, arms, and torso protruding from the vent. One employee told WSB-TV that only his head and arms were visible. Another worker recalled that a female colleague screamed upon spotting the body, prompting immediate emergency response. Authorities confirmed no signs of foul play, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner is conducting an investigation into the cause of death.
