Paul Roberts, 63, was hit and killed by a vehicle at the UPS Customer Care Center in Earth City on Friday evening around 9 p.m., according to St. Louis County police. He had been with the company since he was 18 years old, his sister said.
Roberts’ sister, Donna Schraer, expressed her devastation, noting that he was only days away from retiring when the tragedy occurred. She described him as a devoted family man and hardworking employee who had touched many lives. The driver involved in the incident remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators, though no further details have been released.

Roberts, who recently married his wife six months ago, is survived by his spouse, children, and grandchildren. His sister praised his dedication to both his job and his family, calling him a true pillar of strength.
