POLICY WIRE — New York, U.S. — JPMorgan Chase & Co. has elevated its Asia-Pacific and EMEA technology investment banking leaders to co-head positions for the bank’s international technology division, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters.
The move, outlined in a company communication, names Mark Fiteny as head of Asia-Pacific Technology, Media, and Telecom (APAC TMT) and New Economy Investment Banking, and Matt Gehl as head of EMEA Technology Investment Banking. Both will now oversee the bank’s global technology client operations.
A company representative confirmed the appointments, which highlight the firm’s growing emphasis on the technology sector. Fiteny and Gehl each bring over two decades of experience to their new roles. Additionally, Pieter Himpe has been named co-head of EMEA Technology Investment Banking alongside veteran banker Bill Hutchings. Gehl will continue to be based in London, while Fiteny remains in Hong Kong.
