POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — A man allegedly planned to spray the word ‘Palestine’ onto the lawn at Boris Johnson’s wedding reception, a court has been told.

The alleged scheme involved creating a large heart symbol and painting the word ‘Palestine’ on it during the event, which took place at a sprawling Cotswold estate owned by Conservative Party donor Lord Anthony Bamford.

Tim Speers, 41, and another individual, Sean Middlebrough, were found carrying spray paint, a red boiler suit, and super glue when they were stopped by police at the 1,500-acre property, according to court records.
