POLICY WIRE — New Delhi, India — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine, stating that every day of conflict pushes humanity back. Modi emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution and India’s support for all peace efforts.

During their meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek, Modi told Putin that the world must move from “endless war” to the “end of war”. He asserted that resolving all issues through peaceful means is a call for humanity.
