The video, which was an advertisement for the Callaway driver, was swiftly removed by Good Good after it sparked immediate backlash for its portrayal of violence against women.

Good Good issued an apology, stating that the actions shown in the video do not reflect their values. Callaway also expressed disappointment and appreciation for Good Good’s response to the situation.

Good Good is the title sponsor for a new PGA Tour event in Austin, Texas, this fall. The PGA Tour has expressed its disappointment, with CEO Brian Rolapp noting that Good Good’s initial response was disappointing and defensive. However, he acknowledged that their responses are improving and that the situation will continue to be monitored.

Callaway’s CEO, Chip Brewer, also issued an apology, taking responsibility for approving the video. He emphasized that the approval should never have occurred and that the company is taking the matter seriously.
