More of England Faces Drought Risk Next Week, Warns Environment Agency

POLICY WIRE — London, UK — The Environment Agency has issued a warning that several areas across England could move towards or into drought conditions next week. Persistent low rainfall — and high temperatures are contributing to the heightened risk.

“The situation is becoming increasingly concerning as we see continued low levels of rainfall and rising temperatures,” said an Environment Agency spokesperson. “We urge residents — and businesses in the affected areas to take necessary precautions to conserve water.”
