POLICY WIRE — Marib, Yemen — Two civilians were killed and 14 others injured in a Houthi attack on Marib, according to Yemen’s government. Health Minister Qassem Bahaibah confirmed the casualties and accused the Houthi group of deliberately targeting residential areas and displacement camps.

“The Houthis have shown a blatant disregard for civilian lives by attacking areas where innocent people reside and seek refuge,” Bahaibah stated.

The attack has heightened tensions in the region, further complicating the ongoing conflict. The Yemeni government continues to call for international intervention to protect civilians and bring an end to the violence.
