Widow Seeks Late Husband’s Lost Wedding Ring After Tragic Las Vegas Trip
A South Dakota widow is searching for her late husband's blue wedding band, lost on the Las Vegas Strip just three days before his sudden, tragic death.
POLICY WIRE — Las Vegas, USA — A South Dakota woman is appealing for help to locate a sentimental piece of jewelry lost during her wedding trip to Las Vegas. Tammy Bishop is searching for the blue metal wedding band belonging to her late husband, Will Mulroy, which vanished on the Strip just three days before he passed away.
The couple exchanged vows on October 20 at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel. Following the ceremony, they toured the area on a party bus, but Mulroy noticed his ring was missing once they arrived at a bar. Despite an exhaustive search involving the bus driver and others, the band—which was slightly loose due to recent weight loss—could not be recovered.
Bishop and Mulroy began their relationship in July 2023, officially becoming a couple the following March. Shortly thereafter, Mulroy suffered a motorcycle accident that resulted in paralysis. Despite the physical challenges, he remained committed to marrying Bishop, eventually planning the Las Vegas ceremony as a surprise for her birthday on October 4.
The wedding was a joyous occasion, but the mood shifted during their return trip when Mulroy began suffering from severe pain. After a morning of congestion, Bishop discovered she could not wake him and contacted emergency services. He was transported to a hospital, where he was declared brain dead and remained on life support for 24 hours.
Bishop remembers her husband as a talented mechanic who worked at Fleet Farm and shared her dream of launching a party bus business. She is now hoping that someone might find the blue metal ring, which she views as a vital connection to their short time together.
