US to Host Trilateral Peace Talks Between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi
The United States mediates high-level negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi to discuss security agreements and de-escalate the war.
POLICY WIRE — Abu Dhabi, UAE — The United States is set to facilitate a critical new round of negotiations aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The upcoming trilateral summit is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, marking the first face-to-face discussions between the two nations since February.
This diplomatic push aligns with a broader mission by President Donald Trump, who has frequently expressed his commitment to terminating the war.
According to US envoy Steve Witkoff, the U.S. will oversee working-level talks to address post-war security frameworks, de-escalation strategies, and humanitarian initiatives.
The effort follows high-level diplomatic missions by Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who visited both Moscow and Kyiv during the first week of September to revive peace efforts.
The sessions will focus on establishing a path toward stability while defining the security architecture of the region moving forward.
