Tucker Carlson Claims Netanyahu is Pressuring Trump to Launch Nuclear Strike on Iran
Tucker Carlson alleges Benjamin Netanyahu is urging Donald Trump to authorize a nuclear strike on Iran to secure political survival following Israeli elections.
POLICY WIRE — Washington, DC — Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has suggested that the Trump administration could be days away from a nuclear attack against Iran due to intense pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a recent post on the social platform X, Carlson asserted that Netanyahu is desperate to maintain his political standing following last week’s Israeli elections. The commentator claimed the Israeli leader is currently cornered and requires an ongoing conflict to ensure his continued tenure in power.
While Carlson, who has become increasingly vocal in opposition to the Israeli government and unconditional American support over the last two years, did not provide specific evidence for these allegations. He attributed his information to what he described as an informed observer.
The report suggested that any potential strike would likely target Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran. Washington officials have previously threatened to bomb the site, as they suspect it houses an underground nuclear facility and storage for Tehran’s supply of highly enriched uranium.
Carlson argued that standard U.S. weaponry lacks the capability to penetrate the deep underground tunnels where nuclear enrichment is allegedly occurring. He stated that a nuclear option represents the only viable military path, claiming his source noted that Netanyahu contacts Trump daily regarding the matter.
The commentator further noted that Netanyahu faces a crisis in forming a government after the recent election results unless Trump were to intervene in Israeli politics to broker a deal granting the leader 61 seats in the Knesset. Without such intervention, Carlson claimed, the prime minister would face legal investigations and potential imprisonment.
Neither the United States nor Israel have confirmed that a military strike is currently under consideration. Furthermore, Trump has previously denied the use of nuclear weapons during an October interview with Newsmax, stating he would not use them.
Despite these denials, the Wall Street Journal reported last week that the Trump administration warned Gulf allies to prepare for a resumption of strikes as early as the November elections. This follows reports of an additional aircraft carrier strike group joining 20 other vessels currently in the Middle East.
