POLICY WIRE — London, UK — A 3-year-old boy who was attacked by a crocodile at Johnsons Zoological Gardens has returned home following a series of intensive medical procedures. The boy’s family reported that he is “happy to be home” after undergoing seven operations in the hospital.

The incident occurred when the toddler wandered too close to the crocodile enclosure. He sustained significant injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. Medical professionals performed multiple surgeries to address the extent of his wounds.

In a statement, the family expressed their relief and gratitude for the medical care their son received. “We are incredibly thankful for the doctors and nurses who have taken such good care of our boy. He is happy to be home and we are looking forward to his continued recovery,” they said.
