POLICY WIRE — King’s Lynn, United Kingdom — A 16-year-old boy has been convicted of attempted murder following a violent attack on a 15-year-old girl at a secondary school in Norfolk.
The incident occurred in March at Thorpe St Andrew School, located on the outskirts of Norwich. During the trial at King’s Lynn Crown Court, jurors heard that the defendant stabbed the victim in the back.
Prosecutor Christopher Paxton KC detailed the events of March 11, noting that armed police were dispatched to the campus immediately following reports of the stabbing. The defendant, who cannot be named due to legal restrictions regarding his age, had previously entered a guilty plea for possession of a blade without lawful authority.
