Sarah Jessica Parker, Claire Danes, Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, Craig T. Nelson, Luke Wilson, Tyrone Giordano, Elizabeth Reaser, Brian White, and Paul Schneider are all set to reprise their roles. However, Diane Keaton, who played the iconic character Sybil, will not be part of the project due to her passing last October at age 79.

The new film’s logline, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, states: “Twenty years after their mother’s passing, the Stone family reunites for Christmas only to face the season’s biggest surprise: their father has unexpectedly invited the woman he’s fallen in love with to meet the family.” Thomas Bezucha, the director of the original film, will also return to helm the sequel.
