The incident occurred on 15 August on an old train line path off Blacker Lane in Wakefield. James Judge, 55, was attacked by a dog and later passed away due to the severity of his injuries.

A coroner confirmed that the cause of death was related to the wound on Judge’s leg. Lee Ellis, also 55, faces charges of manslaughter and being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control, leading to the fatal injury.
