POLICY WIRE — Tehran, Iran — Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has urged Muslim countries, especially those in the Gulf, to unite against what he termed their’real enemy’. Khamenei emphasized that divisions among Muslim nations only serve the interests of their adversaries.
In a written message released on his Telegram account to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, Khamenei called on the rulers of the Gulf States to ‘identify their real enemy and understand the plans to confront it’.
Khamenei’s message stressed the importance of unity, mutual defense against ‘enemies’, and cooperation among Muslims. He highlighted that such divisions only benefit those who seek to undermine Islamic solidarity.
