John Torode reveals no contact with Gregg Wallace post-MasterChef, citing professional ties only.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — John Torode has confirmed that he no longer maintains any personal relationship with former MasterChef co-presenter Gregg Wallace, stating their connection was strictly professional.
Wallace was removed from the BBC series in July 2025 after an independent review validated 45 allegations of misconduct against him. A further 38 claims were not substantiated. Shortly after, Torode left the show amid accusations that he used racist language, which were later found to be true and linked to a 2019 event where he sang along to Kanye West’s Gold Digger.
