The Tubassi family was forced to leave their Jalud home in July after a prolonged siege by settlers. Despite a court order requiring their return, security forces were unable to facilitate the move Monday night, leading to an intense clash that saw settlers set fire to the family’s house and car.

Family member Mahmoud Tubassi described the experience as terrifying, stating that settlers threw stones at security personnel, who responded with tear gas and stun grenades. The Israel Defense Forces reported that rioters blocked roads, set tires on fire, and attacked Palestinian structures. Three border police officers were injured, and a vehicle was damaged during the incident.
