POLICY WIRE — Tehran, Iran — Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi warned Sunday that Tehran will “rain down hell” if Washington chooses to intensify the fight, framing the threat as an ultimatum tied to a two‑day proposal for ending hostilities on all fronts.
In a post on X, Araghchi urged the White House to decide after the recent U.S. midterm elections, stating that the United States must either accept Tehran’s demands, which include ceasing combat across the region, or choose war.
Concurrently, an IRGC spokesperson announced that Iran has removed its self‑imposed restrictions on missile ranges, signaling that its arsenal is no longer bound by previous distance limits.
President Donald Trump responded by asserting that U.S. forces are “locked and loaded” and prepared to strike if necessary, underscoring the heightened readiness of American troops.
Across the Middle East, tensions remain elevated with fresh attacks on energy infrastructure, ongoing maritime security concerns, and a surge in rhetoric from both sides.
