POLICY WIRE — City, Country — A remarkable auction featuring memorabilia from music legends such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Queen is set to take place, with an estimated total value of £3 million.
The Propstore auction will offer 800 lots, including a black and gold military jacket worn by Michael Jackson in public between 1994 and 1996. This jacket, detailed with 24-carat gold braiding, is expected to sell for between £180,000 and £360,000.
Another highlight is a Pan American Airways menu signed by all four members of The Beatles during their first flight to the US on February 7, 1964. This unique item is anticipated to fetch between £40,000 and £80,000.
The auction will also include a stage-worn, embellished black wrap top and flared trousers from Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury, used during the Sheer Heart Attack tour. These items are valued between £60,000 and £120,000.
Noel Gallagher’s autographed Takamine FP460SC acoustic guitar, used during Oasis’s 1996 MTV Unplugged performance and subsequent tours, will also be up for sale. The guitar, accompanied by a stencilled Oasis case, is expected to make between £75,000 and £150,000.
Other notable items include a pair of John Lennon’s tinted glasses, estimated to sell for between £100,000 and £200,000, and glasses worn by George Michael during the Faith tour, valued between £15,000 and £30,000.

Additionally, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones’ Filthy Lucre Tour stage-worn Vivienne Westwood Kilt and a signed promotional photo of the band are included, with both expected to make between £5,000 and £10,000.
Mark Hochman, Propstore’s music specialist, commented on the auction, stating that it brings together remarkable pieces connected to defining moments in music history. He highlighted the extraordinary stories behind each item, from Michael Jackson’s jacket to The Beatles’ signed menu.
The auction will occur on October 1 and 2, with bidding available online and via telephone. A special public exhibition will be held at The Cumberland Hotel in London from September 24 to 27.
