The book, published by Crown, will include 44 portraits alongside biographical sketches of each subject. It highlights figures like Mahsa Amini, whose death in Iranian custody sparked nationwide protests, and Nicaraguan bishop Rolando José Álvarez Lagos, who remains imprisoned. Natan Sharansky, a former Soviet dissident, contributes a foreword to the work.

Bush, who took up painting after leaving office in 2009, has previously released books such as ‘Portraits of Courage’ and ‘Out of Many, One.’ The book aims to raise awareness about human rights and aligns with the mission of the George W.
