Foreign Investors Dominate Guest List for Upcoming $TRUMP Meme Coin Gala
Top holders of the $TRUMP meme coin set to dine with the president appear to be based overseas, raising new questions about foreign influence and access.
POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C., USA — A high-profile gala scheduled for November 22 at the Trump National Golf Club is set to host the 185 largest holders of the $TRUMP meme coin. According to the event organizers, Fight Fight Fight LLC, the top 29 investors will receive VIP reception access and upfront seating alongside the president and three yet-to-be-named guests.
Financial disclosures reveal that the president earned at least $635 million in royalties last year from a licensing deal linked to the token. Furthermore, the coin’s website indicates that an affiliate of the Trump Organization continues to collect revenue whenever the asset is traded.
Analysis of the event’s leaderboard suggests a significant international presence among the top bidders. Matt Fiebach, co-founder of Entropy Advisors, noted that accounts utilizing exchanges like Binance—which prohibits U.S. customers—are typically associated with non-U.S. entities. Data shows that at least 44 leaderboard users transacted through Binance, accounting for nearly $6.8 million of the $15 million in total value represented on the list.
Critics have voiced concerns regarding the potential for foreign influence. Zach Everson, a researcher at Public Citizen, remarked that the president is effectively holding the front door open for foreign actors to secure a seat at a steak dinner. Virginia Canter, a former ethics lawyer, echoed these sentiments, stating that foreign actors are essentially purchasing access to the president’s table.
The $TRUMP token has experienced extreme volatility, with its market value plummeting more than 95% from its January 2025 peak to approximately $532 million. As of Wednesday, the coin was trading at roughly $2, down from its high of $75.35. Democrats have characterized the asset as a potential pump-and-dump scheme and have signaled that the president’s crypto ties will be a primary focus for oversight in the 2026 midterm elections.
The Trump Organization did not provide a comment regarding the event. A White House official stated that the administration acts in the best interest of the American people, emphasizing that the dinner is a private function with no promise of official government action in exchange for attendance.
