Elizabeth Holmes Signals Support for Trump Amidst Documentary Release and Pardon Bid
Convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes shares pro-Trump content on social media as she seeks a presidential pardon ahead of a new documentary release.
POLICY WIRE — Bryan, Texas — Elizabeth Holmes has utilized her social media presence to signal support for President Donald Trump, sharing a video of his administration’s accomplishments with the caption, “We are winning.” This digital activity coincides with the upcoming October 16 theatrical release of You Can See Everything, a documentary by comedian Nathan Fielder that chronicles the life of the former Theranos executive.
The account, which features a disclaimer stating that posts are mostly my words, posted by others, has been active recently. Beyond the political endorsement, the feed included an AI-generated image of Holmes near a burning bridge, accompanied by a message expressing frustration over her child’s safety, as well as a personal photograph of her with her baby on an airboat.
Holmes, once celebrated as a self-made billionaire, was convicted in January 2022 for defrauding investors regarding the blood-testing technology of her biotech firm. She is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence, though reports indicate she is slated to transition to a halfway house next summer.

While there is no evidence of political interference regarding her transfer, Holmes has a pending clemency petition filed with the Justice Department’s Office of the Pardon Attorney, submitted last December. The documentary, which debuted at the Telluride Film Festival, captures candid moments between Holmes, her partner William Evans, and Fielder.
In the film, Fielder challenges Holmes on her past actions, asking if she believes she committed any wrongdoing, to which she responds, “I did not.” Fielder also questions Evans about his relationship with Holmes, asking if he feared being scammed, to which Evans replies: “A hundred percent, but what did she have to gain from me?”
Holmes is currently held at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas. The facility has previously housed other notable figures, including Ghislaine Maxwell and reality television personality Jen Shah, who finished her sentence for wire fraud this past August.
