POLICY WIRE — Moscow, Russia — A Ukrainian drone struck a logistics facility belonging to Russia’s second-largest online retailer, Ozon, overnight on November 4, the company confirmed in a official statement.
The impact ignited a fire at the warehouse in Adygeysk, located within Russia’s Republic of Adygea in the south of the country.
Following the attack, Ozon disclosed that significant damage occurred to the site, necessitating an immediate suspension of operations at the hub.
This incident stands as the first known drone strike directly targeting Ozon’s infrastructure.
Ukraine has intensified its campaign against Russian economic infrastructure, focusing specifically on logistics networks.
In recent weeks, Kyiv’s forces have systematically targeted warehouses operated by Wildberries, the leading player in the Russian online marketplace.
By shifting focus to Ozon, Ukraine has expanded its efforts to disrupt the supply chains of major e-commerce giants.
