Convicted Arsonist Linked to Attacks on Keir Starmer Deported from UK
The UK Home Office confirms the deportation of Stanislav Carpiuc, a man convicted for his role in arson attacks targeting properties linked to Keir Starmer.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — The British Home Office has confirmed that a man convicted for his involvement in a series of arson attacks targeting properties associated with Sir Keir Starmer has been deported from the country.
Stanislav Carpiuc, a 28-year-old Romanian national, was found guilty earlier this year for his participation in the plot. The criminal activity involved a string of arson attacks directed at a car and multiple properties linked to the former prime minister.
Legal proceedings at the Old Bailey revealed that Carpiuc and his co-conspirator, 22-year-old Ukrainian national Roman Lavrynovych, carried out the attacks under the direction of a Russian-speaking contact on the messaging platform Telegram.
The case drew significant attention due to the nature of the targets and the suspected involvement of external actors in the orchestration of the crimes. Following his conviction for the plot to damage houses connected to Sir Keir Starmer, Carpiuc has now been removed from the United Kingdom.
