China Purchases Significant Volume of US Soybeans for October-November Shipment
China has bought at least 840,000 tonnes of US soybeans for October-November shipment, marking one of the largest single-day purchases this month.
POLICY WIRE — Washington, DC — On Friday, Chinese government buyers acquired at least eight cargoes of US soybeans for shipment from US Gulf Coast terminals and six cargoes for shipment from Pacific Northwest ports in October and November, according to two US traders with direct knowledge of the transactions.
The sales volume, totaling at least 840,000 tonnes, represents one of China’s largest single-day purchases this month. This follows the world’s top soybean importer resuming purchases from the US in late June after a period of reduced activity.
