Aaron Donald Ends Retirement, Rejoins Los Angeles Rams for NFL Comeback

With MVP Matthew Stafford leading the NFL’s top-ranked offense, Los Angeles was already favored in most sportsbooks to win its second Super Bowl title under McVay, even before Donald’s return.

In addition to Garrett, the Rams bolstered their defense with the addition of cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson from Kansas City. This move enhances a defense now better equipped to match the Rams’ elite offensive unit, which returns all major contributors around Stafford from last season.

Donald’s 111 career sacks set a Rams franchise record and rank second in NFL history among interior linemen. His exceptional ability to generate a pass rush between the tackles, combined with his run-stopping skills, has made him a defensive force. His agility and technique often required defenses to double-team him, allowing his teammates to excel.

Donald’s return resets his eligibility clock for an almost certain induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, his primary focus is on the opportunity to win a second ring alongside Garrett and young talents Byron Young, Kobie Turner, and Braden Fiske on a formidable defensive front.
