Kamala Harris Expands Midterm Campaign Tour as 2028 Presidential Speculation Grows
Former VP Kamala Harris adds key stops to her final midterm campaign schedule, visiting early primary states while keeping her 2028 presidential plans open.
POLICY WIRE — Atlanta, USA — Former Vice President Kamala Harris is intensifying her final campaign push for Democratic candidates, finalizing a midterm schedule that includes strategic visits to several early presidential primary states. As she traverses the country, the question of whether she will launch another bid for the White House remains unanswered.
The expanded itinerary, running from October 21 through October 30, adds stops in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Mississippi, alongside a virtual engagement in Florida. These additions complement previously announced appearances in Georgia and Nevada, placing Harris in key regions that hold significant weight on the Democratic Party’s 2028 nominating calendar.
Harris has maintained in recent interviews that her current priority is securing Democratic victories in the upcoming November elections. However, she has pointedly declined to rule out a future presidential campaign following her 2024 loss to Donald Trump.
Her closing tour highlights support for various gubernatorial and U.S. Senate nominees, including high-profile pairings with candidates who could make history. In Nevada, she will campaign with Attorney General Aaron Ford, while in Mississippi, she will appear alongside U.S. Senate hopeful Scott Colom.
The former vice president’s schedule also includes a trip to New Hampshire on October 24 to support Senate nominee Chris Pappas and discuss reproductive rights, a central pillar of her platform. She will conclude her tour with a three-day swing through Georgia, featuring events with Senator Jon Ossoff and a keynote address at the Fulton County Democratic Party’s annual gala.
