POLICY WIRE — Leszczydol-Nowiny, Poland — A 37-year-old school employee was killed and two others were injured in a knife attack at a primary school in Poland, marking the country’s second school-related violent incident in as many days.
The attack occurred around 0700 GMT on Thursday in Leszczydol-Nowiny, where a 15-year-old former pupil was detained and charged with wounding three staff members. The victim, who worked as a caretaker, died at the scene, while two other individuals sustained injuries.

This follows a similar incident on Wednesday when a 19-year-old wounded 10 people, including himself, at another school. Authorities reported that no further attacks occurred after police intervened in a third potential incident linked to the same events.
