POLICY WIRE — Las Vegas, United States — Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered a severe leg injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
The injury occurred when Thornton’s left foot bent awkwardly under Raiders safety Treydan Stukes after he caught a 55-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes. Thornton was taken off the field on a cart, and players from both teams knelt in prayer.
