Coast Guard officials said they have covered more than 2,840 square miles in over 53 hours using fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, boats, and cutters. Rear Adm. The flight, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, was scheduled to last under two hours, departing from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport at around 12:40 a.m. and heading to Boston Logan International Airport. Flight data shows the plane descended rapidly from 24,000 feet to 11,000 feet shortly after takeoff.
