The first attack occurred on Saturday evening when eight armed individuals entered a bar west of Johannesburg, opening fire on patrons both inside and outside. The assault left 17 people dead and 15 injured, with 13 men and four women among the victims. The suspects reportedly set fire to two vehicles before fleeing the scene.

A second shooting took place early Sunday at an entertainment venue in a township near Cape Town, where gunmen killed 10 individuals and injured 11 others. Five of the victims died at the location, while the rest succumbed to their wounds during hospital transport. No arrests have been made in either case.
