The accident occurred when a Hawk T2 jet crashed shortly after takeoff from RAF Valley on Wednesday afternoon. Both crew members successfully deployed their parachutes and ejected safely before impact, witnesses reported. The aircraft, which was being flown by two trainee pilots, caught fire upon landing near the village of Rhosneigr, sending a large cloud of black smoke into the air.
