Real estate developer Eustace Mita, who acquired the site in 2021, explained that the Ferris wheel’s components have fused due to corrosion, making it impossible to disassemble and reassemble elsewhere. Despite initial plans to renovate and elevate the structure, the project remains unapproved, while legal challenges continue to oppose the site’s redevelopment into a 252-room hotel.
